Vail
A jewel in Colorado providing great skiing and a super cosy atmosphere, Vail has a rich blend of Swiss style infused to make a unique and warm mountain resort.
Vail in a nutshell
The second largest ski area in the US, the tiny resort city of Vail is a posh place to visit, a haven for the jet set from all over the world who come to enjoy its superb skiing terrain, snowboarding and resort facilities.
The town boasts a definitive Swiss style and atmosphere – here, most of the buildings resemble European chalets – and is divided into 2 sections: to the east is boisterous Vail Village and in the west is Lionshead.
Of course, in the summer months, Vail still offers plenty of fun and action, with cycling and hiking trails and white water rafting to enjoy.
But it’s the approximately 5,500 acres of terrain that has made the resort legendary as one of the best ski destinations in North America.
Don’t be fooled by Vail’s size. The resort town may be small, but it sure packs a punch when it comes to superlative facilities. Come and see for yourself.
