Access: Entry to the O2 Arena is free of charge if you just want to stroll around the huge main building's walkways. If you frequent the bars, restaurants, cinemas or concert halls then that will naturally incur a charge dependent on what you choose to do.

Fact: The building was originally built by the British government and opened in 2000 under the name of the Millennium Dome. It housed the 'Millennium Experience' which was a bespoke celebration of the beginning of the exciting new millennium.

Choose from the dozens of restaurants all housed under the famous London dome roof if you feel peckish.

You can toast the day or night away in any of the many bars that serve the best in local craft beers as well as tipples from further afar. Champagne is served for anyone wanting to celebrate an occasion in style.

There is always some sort of headline experience happening to grab a ticket for (most need purchasing in advance).

Concerts and gigs with world-class acts are commonplace. Comedians often play huge sets in the main arena so check out the schedule if you fancy a laugh.

One of the highlights of the calendar is when the ATP Tennis Finals event comes to town. The top players in the world compete for the tournament title in the main arena and draws sell out London crowds every year without fail. It is a brilliant event to attend and the level of tennis skill on show is frankly staggering.

Get your walking boots on for a wild walk on the O2 Arena roof

Ready for something a little different? Book a place on a walking excursion where you clip onto a safety line and hike up the outside of the dome to the very top. It is harder than it sounds in terms of exertion but anyone a normal level of fitness will be able to do it. Bite the bullet and take up the challenge. You'll be standing on the top of the dome in no time!
