London Eye

Step on the London Eye to become part of London's skyline. View the city's most famous buildings from a capsule aboard Europe's largest observation wheel.

What you need to know about the London Eye

City: London, United Kingdom

Transport links: Westminster tube station (District, Circle and Jubilee lines).

Nearby attractions: Houses of Parliament, London Dungeon.

Access: Entry costs around £25 if your tickets are bought online in advance. Tickets bought at the wheel on the day cost a little more but only by a couple of pounds.

Fact: The London Eye is the most popular paid-for tourist attraction in the UK with over 3.5 million people taking a trip around the wheel every year!

Step aboard and see a unique view of London

There are 32 capsules available to ride and when you book (either in advance or on the day) you will be given a specific time slot to step into your capsule.

The ride takes 25-30 minutes to complete so you really get value for money. Despite the ride being a long one, make sure you drink in the London skyline and scenery as you're unlikely to do so again.

Tickets for other attractions such as Madame Tussauds and the London Dungeons can also be bought at the same time at significant discount so if you are planning to see numerous attractions when you travel to London it makes sense to combine entry tickets into one purchase.

Private capsules and something a bit special

There are opportunities to book your own private capsule, and even the chance to have champagne and a bite to eat but this comes at a serious premium.

If you are looking for a luxury experience then by all means look into it but the Globedge recommendation is that you jump aboard a regular capsule and just enjoy the ride, the view and the experience.
